Opportunities

  • This is an entry level bartending gig. Shifts are usually Friday and Saturday evenings and Sunday mornings.

  • The work of the director is central to the production of a play, since it is the director who sets the vision for the production for everyone involved.

    The director has the challenging task of bringing together the many complex pieces of a production into a unified whole.

    All of our main production team positions require previous experience.

    Responsibilities 

    • Interpreting the script

    • Casting the production

    • Scheduling and planning rehearsals 

    • Collaboration with production team and designers

    • Technical direction

    • Guiding actors

  • Choreographers in community theatre often work with non-dancers, or dancers with limited experience, as well as those who have had considerable training. 

    All of our main production team positions require previous experience.

    • Managing rehearsals

  • A Musical Director selects musical arrangements and compositions to be performed and studies musical scores to prepare for rehearsals. They are responsible for bringing the music of a production to life, guiding performers and musicians to create a cohesive, expressive, and engaging musical experience for audiences.

    Responsibilities

    • Studying the musical score

    • Assist the director in casting

    • Guiding actors

    • Adapting the score

    • Managing rehearsals

    • Collaboration with production team

  • Stage managers typically provide practical and organizational support to the director, actors, designers, stage crew, and technicians throughout the production process. They also are the director's representative during performances, making sure that the production runs smoothly. 

    All of our main production team positions require previous experience.

    Responsibilities

    • Manage rehearsal schedule and actor conflicts

    • Attend and take notes of  rehearsals

    • Creating post rehearsal reports

    • Assist the director and production team during rehearsals

    • Create props for the production

    • Run technical rehearsals

    • Attend and manage performances

    • Assist tech crew

  • Our internships are for those who want to pursue one of our main production team positions, or simply want the experience. Depending on what role you’re interested in, you would be assigned a track for said role, interning under certain positions and people until the track is completed.

    No previous experience is required. We offer internships for the roles listed below;

    • Directing

    • Music Directing

    • Choreography

    • Stage Management

    • Content Creation

  • ACT offers a number of junior classes, which means we’re always looking for instructors for our semesters. Our instructors work with groups that are a range of ages, from 6 to 18, depending on the class.

    We do require our instructors to have previous experience.

  • With all the shows that we do throughout the year, we’re always trying to make the sets as dynamic as possible as quickly as possible. We’re always looking for extra hands to make the process quicker and smoother.

    No previous experience is required, but there’s a few qualities that are.
